The Eggers Family We have a new and special project to benefit the Eggers Family, a new 630 square foot addition for two bedrooms and bathroom. Estimated cost with materials and labor, $80,000.  Material donations such as roof tiles, HVAC, electrical upgrades, wood flooring, paint, windows, doors, hardware, tub, handicap toilet and sink, bathroom tile are much appreciated. Donate Fallon Project The Annual Party for A Cure celebration benefits individuals with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related life threatening diseases that limit strength and mobility. Together, we can help free kids and adults from the harm of these muscle debilitating diseases by funding research breakthroughs across diseases, caring for individuals from day one, and empowering families with services and support in our hometowns. And it was all inspired by one young woman: Hannah Fallon. Her beautiful spirit brought a community together and began what we now call Party For A Cure. Quality of Life Sponsor – $5,000 Medical Equipment Sponsor – $3,500 Send a Kid to Camp Sponsor – $2,000 Research Sponsor – $1,000 A $1,000 contribution, for example, helps pay for research and development costs and $2,000 helps cover the entire cost to send one child to MDA’s summer camp, which offers opportunities for every child, no matter his or her level of mobility. Beyond research and camp, Party For A Cure uses proceeds to help make our kids’ homes handicap accessible and fund medical durable equipment. A replacement battery for their specialized wheelchairs can cost up to $2,000. In 2018, contractors donated labor and materials to provide new handicap ramps and in-home access – up to 200,000 in labor and materials. PFAC continues to pay for extensive van repairs, service dog and their training costs, cell phones, remodeling costs for new bathrooms, and much more. This year, we are hoping to raise funds to assist the Eggers Family with home repairs. The Eggers have two children who suffer from Duchenne Musclar Dystrophy, a severe type of muscle disease. They plan to invite a third child with DMD who stays with them regularly into their home as soon they can provide a room for him in their small home.
